Who I Help

Connection Matters provides toddler speech therapy, child language therapy, and literacy support at a Bondi Junction clinic, serving families across the Eastern Suburbs of Sydney. I work with children aged 2 to 18 on speech, language comprehension, stuttering, and reading and literacy skills — including screening and assessment for dyslexia.

About Catharine Munro

CPSP, BA (Hons I), MES, Dip SphComm, MSLP​

I’m a certified practising speech pathologist (CPSP), trained at Macquarie University, and registered with Speech Pathology Australia. I practice all over Sydney, working in NSW public schools and have a background in journalism. I bring a lifelong love of language and communication to helping children connect effectively.

Speech Pathology Services

Assessments

​I provide:

  • assessment of communication in speech, language comprehension and expression, reading, swallowing and stuttering.

  • reports on these assessments to support NDIS funding for speech pathology applications, schools and developmental paediatric assessments.

​

Assessments 

  • target a child’s difficulties and create goals that are within a young person's reach.

  • are a team effort,

  • help teachers, relatives and friends understand a young person's challenges.

  • ensure the right supports are in place to help a child reach their potential.

 

I work with the child/teen, their family, caregivers and educators, where appropriate, to ensure these goals are clear, meaningful and achievable.

Therapy

I offer 30-minute, 45-minute and one-hour therapy sessions addressing speech, language and literacy. For late talkers, I work directly with parents. I can also provide small-group literacy sessions.

Families who opt for therapy receive therapy plans based on assessments. This ensures my work is holistic, targeted and effective. 

Serving Bondi Junction & the Eastern Suburbs

My clinic is based in Bondi Junction, with families visiting from Bondi, Woollahra, Double Bay, Paddington, Randwick, Coogee, Waverley, and across the Eastern Suburbs for speech pathology and literacy support. This puts me in easy reach of teenagers travelling by public transport.

I Partner with Schools & Daycares

I can work with Eastern Suburbs primary schools, daycares and early childhood centres to support early speech, language and literacy screening for children in their care.
